You mean Fuck-The-People.... For-the-people.com known as FTP really got annoying. I use to frequent that site when I started voice chatting. Either people would talk over you, not give you a chance or just pretend you weren't there. Oh and their yahoo site, whomever is maintaining that group needs to get it through their heads: When people want to check their yahoo group mail via the internet, FTP needs to honor that and not jam their inboxes with demands that those who sign up turn their mail system on to daily digest to get slammed with lots and lots of junk mail. Now a days as technology sores people are turning to programs to voice chat like ventrilo, team speak, and skype.
I can't stand for-the-people. Half the people on there act so stuck up just because a couple of us may use the text feature to chat with each other once in a while.
But if other people wouldn't hog the call all the time, maybe we could all talk to each other the way, they think we're supposed to. And another thing, if they don't want us to use the text feature, why is it there in the first place?
Good question about the text chat thing. I prefer ourplace. While it's probably not as popular as FTP, I can go on there and text with people in addition to voice chatting all day long.
It's useful for those who don't have mics and things, y'know...
